A wonderful opportunity to study elephants and other animals at leisure on a relaxing residential course in South Luangwa National Park, with optional extensions to Victoria Falls or Lake Malawi. We will spend time in the national park and also work up sketches back at our base on the banks of the great Luangwa River. Beware - animals tend to wander through at any time of day. 

South Luangwa is the most impressive of National Parks, with incredible wildlife populations and continually enthralling sightings.

Dry and hot, this is an exceptional time to see Africa in the build-up before the rains – dramatic skies and the whole majesty of the animal kingdom before us.  Last year two prides ruled Mfuwe area - one was 17 strong.

Our activities include day and night game drives, a textile workshop at Tribal Textiles (brilliant fun, bring back a cushion you've designed and painted!) and a visit to a local village.  

We suggest you travel with British Airways and therefore have arranged for you to stay one night in Lusaka prior to your early morning check-in for your day flight back to the UK.  If you would like to spend longer in the Valley, please let us know.

You are welcome to join both safaris one after the other to make a 18 day safari.
