Sketching animals from life – London Zoo

Thursday 18th and or Friday 19th January 2018 10am – 4pm

An intensive and fun workshop where you’ll learn to sketch animals in fast lines, working out their shapes, lines and colours – and learn not to be daunted when they move around.

£55 per workshop day, excludes zoo entrance and lunch 

 

Sketching birds from life – Slimbridge

with Mark Boyd

Sunday 25th and or Monday 26th February 2018 start 10am

This is a fabulous opportunity to study and sketch geese, cranes and numerous water birds, as well as water mammals such as otters and beaver. And under Mark’s excellent tuition you will gain a deeper understanding of birds and of your own approach to drawing and painting wildlife.

£70 per day or £130 for two days tuition, excludes park entrance and lunch 

 

Photoshop for Beginners Workshop – Woodbridge

Friday 20th, Saturday 21st & Sunday 22nd April 2018 start 10am each day

A fun and inspiring 3 days to give you a good understanding of Photoshop and help develop confidence in using the program for your own artwork. Shelly Perkins uses Photoshop to create digital artworks that combine traditional line drawings and paintings with digital techniques creating highly detailed, multi-layered collages.

£285 for all three days, including lunches

 

Sketching birds from life – Minsmere & Woodbridge

Wednesday 2nd, Thursday 3rd & Friday 4th May 2018 10am to 5pm

We hope that you will come away from this course with a greater knowledge and understanding of field sketching birds. Over these three days you will spend time in the studio in Woodbridge where Brin will demonstrate a variety of drawing and painting techniques and help you hone your observational skills, as well as time sketching out in the field.

Day 1 – Woodbridge Studio and Deben estuary

Day 2 – RSPB Minsmere Reserve

Day 3 – Woodbridge Studio and Deben estuary

Discover the wide rivers of Suffolk and learn to paint at any stage of the tide with Karen Pearson on this gentle 3 day workshop.  We will be based at the Art Safari Studio and will take every opportunity to go out each day to different painting locations.

Sketching birds from life – Pensthorpe

Monday 10th and Tuesday 11th September 2018 start 10am

Pensthorpe is an award-winning mix of nature trails, beguiling woodland walks, and a showcase for British wildlife and nature conservation. Over the two days here, Mark will give insights into drawing wildlife and wild places, open your eyes to the character of birds and conservation, and help enthuse your drawings and paintings with the beauty of the natural world.

From Sketch to Painting

Friday 26th to Sunday 28th October 2018 10am – 5pm

Finish that painting!  Bring your holiday sketchbook and learn the studio process of turning your sketches into a finished painting.  This course is ideal for all those with incomplete masterpieces and big ideas.
