Tour contentWatercolours; temples, acrobats and landscapes....
This virtual Art Safari delves into the culture, natural beauty, historical and dance influences of Cambodia. From our homes, we explore the architectural wonders of Angkor Wat and journey through beautiful rural landscapes. Along the way, we encounter plenty of painting inspiration – dense jungles, huge lakes and mighty rivers, and we meet the characters carved in stone on temple friezes whose counterparts perform in the theatres, circuses and dance schools of modern Cambodia.
Join Mary-Anne for 3 days of painting via zoom with live sessions including demos on painting the ancient temples of Angkor Wat, as well as the talented dancers and acrobats whose performances describe Cambodian culture and beliefs.
Mary-Anne includes a talk on traditional Khmer culture illustrated with artwork and photographs.
Visiting Cambodia virtually can give you insight into the creative lives of artists and dancers. Mary-Anne’s lively demonstrations will show you how to paint acrobats and dancers in motion, as well as giving you structure and technique to tackle the human form on the magnificent carvings of some of the Angkor temples. Mary-Anne will also give tutorials to cover the vibrant colour and perspective of South East Asian landscapes, to include rivers, palm trees, paddy fields and jungles of this magical part of the world.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
