Art Safari creative adventures in Africa – Zambia

Large grey and unmistakable

7 or 10 days in South Luangwa National Park + optional extensions to Victoria Falls & Lake Malawi

17th – 27th September 2012 (Mary-Anne Bartlett)

4th – 11th October 2012 (Mary-Anne Bartlett)

A wonderful opportunity to study elephants and other animals at leisure on a relaxing residential course in South Luangwa National Park. We will spend time in the national park and also work up sketches back at our base on the banks of the great Luangwa River. Beware – animals tend to wander through at any time of day.

South Luangwa is the most impressive of National Parks, with incredible wildlife populations and continually enthralling sightings.

Dry and hot, this is an exceptional time to see Africa in the build-up before the rains – dramatic skies and the whole majesty of the animal kingdom before us.

Birding is always excellent here.  Big cats proliferate.

Our activities include day and night game drives, a textile workshop at Tribal Textiles (brilliant fun, bring back a cushion you’ve designed and painted!) and a visit to a local village.

If you would like to spend longer in the Valley, please let us know.  Or why not extend your trip for a few days/weeks elsewhere in Zambia or Malawi?  Talk to us about the possibilities.

  • 10 days on the Luangwa River, South Luangwa National Park, including  2 nights at a beautiful remote Bush Camp.
