Photoshop for Artists

With Shelly Perkins

Wednesday 25 – Saturday 28 March in Woodbridge

A fun and inspiring four-day Art Safari workshop to give you a good basis and understanding of Photoshop and help develop confidence in using the program for your own artwork.

Wildlife and landscape artist Shelly Perkins is keen to share her enthusiasm for this versatile computer programme so you can work on your own original artworks to create prints and multiples.

Shelly uses Photoshop to create her own beautiful digital artworks.  She combines traditional line drawings and paintings with digital techniques creating highly detailed, multi-layered collages.

Download the programme and bring a laptop with you (we’ll send a link).

During the first three days, we spend time learning and then refreshing our knowledge of the diverse tools available in Photoshop, getting to know the basic tools well and how to progress into others.  The instruction will be broken up by a series of set tasks to consolidate understanding of the tools and build a strong foundation to the programme.

The last day of the workshop is set aside as a ‘masters’ day to really hone your skills and to provide the opportunity for one to one tutorials with Shelly as you work up your own images.

In the evenings we can gather in a local restaurant or pub for a convivial Art Safari evening (dinner not included).

Cost:  £375 (including VAT), with lunch and refreshments

Venue:  Art Safari Studio, The Harbourmasters Office, Ferry Quay, Woodbridge, Suffolk 1P12 1BW Places must be pre-booked
