Local artist Claudia Myatt is a well known marine illustrator who will help you navigate the tricky waters of drawing boats, the colours of the sea and river, drawing moving subjects from life and other challenges of waterside scenes. We will also take a short voyage through the history of maritime art, which for many centuries was done by sailors rather than by artists.
Suitable for beginners as well as experienced artists who feel they need more confidence and techniques to tackle this fascinating subject.
These workshops take place in Art Safari’s riverside studio, where there is a wealth of material to be seen from the balcony and around the quayside.
There will be plenty of tea, coffee, water, fruit and biscuits available throughout the day. Lunch is an hour, please bring your own packed lunch or pop into one of the many cafes in Woodbridge.
To help you prepare we will send you a short list of suggested art materials to bring with you.
