Line and wash – a mix of pen and watercolour techniques so you can go out sketching with confidence and success

Line and wash is a mix of pen and watercolour techniques.  It can be seen as drawing with added colour, or you can view is as a popular illustrative painting style. Wherever you draw the line, pens and watercolours are fun to use together.

Claudia will show you when to work with pen and then add colour, and when to do it the other way round; how to fill your sketchbook with fast and colourful swirls of colour and line.  She will show you how to create more detailed line and wash paintings.

Join Claudia in the Art Safari riverside studio, either for real (morning) or afternoon (zoom) for a colourful and practical session of watercolour techniques. Perfect for those of you unfamiliar with watercolours or if you feel you need a refresher and a dose of inspiration!

Or you can join the same content online in a 2hr Virtual course starting at 2pm UK time, or ask us for the recording of the online course.

To help you prepare we will send you a short list of suggested art materials to bring with you.
